adj. Given to speak evil, calumnious :-- Gebiddaþ for hearmcwidele orate pro calumniantibus, Mt. Kmbl. 5, 44. Ðá wǽron hí æfter æþelborennysse oferhýdige and hearmcwydole in consequence of noble birth they were haughty and given to speak contemptuously of others, Homl. Th. ii. 174, 8. hearm-cwidol
