hoppetan
p. te To jump about [for joy], leap, rejoice, to throb [of a wound] :-- Swá benne ne burnon ne burston ne hoppetan so that the wounds should neither burn nor burst nor throb, L. M. 3, 63; Lchdm. ii. 352, 1. Ðæne ðe méder on rife hoppetende beclýsed Johannes undergeat quem matris alvo gestiens clausus Johannes senserat, Hymn. Surt. 51, 1.
