p. ode To cut open:--Hí man holdode and hí ealle hrícode (the MS. has the accent); swilce óðer wæterflód swá fleów heora blód, Hml. S. 23, 73. Hrýcigende resulcans (cf. manus resulcans, iterum aperiens, the passage is the same in both cases, An. Ox. 46, 49), Germ. 398, 144.
