p. ode To roar :-- ꝥ gewealc þára ýða hwaðerode mid windum the tumult of the waves roared, lashed by the winds, Ap. Th. 11, 2. Drihten cóm gangende on ðǽre sǽ; þá ýða árison, ac hé hí oftræd; se brym hwoðerode under his fótswaðum (the sea roared beneath his footsteps) ac swá ðeáh hé hine bær, wolde hé nolde hé, Hml.
