p. ode To delay, defer, put off :-- Nis forðí nánum synfullum tó yldigenne ágenre gecyrrednysse ðýlæs ðe hé mid sleacnysse forleóse ða tíd Godes fyrstes it is not, therefore, for any sinner to delay his own conversion, lest by remissness he lose the time of God's respite, Homl. Th. i. 350, 54.
