m. I. a false person, hypocrite :-- Leáseras l légeras falsos, Mt. Kmbl. p. 15, 8. II. one who feigns or acts, a buffoon, jester :-- Se wæs ǽrest sumes káseres mima, ðæt is leásere and sang beforan him scandlícu leóþ first he was some emperor's mima, that is, jester, and sang obscene songs before him, Shrn. 121, 9.
