According to the Old English Dictionary:

mæsse-úhta

the hour of matins on a feast day, the matins themselves :-- Habbon þonne interuallum . . . bútan sunnanúhtan and mæsse-úhtan (festiutatibus sanctorum), þonne ne þearf nán interuallum beón, Chrd. 24, 7.
