to reach or touch wrongly, metaph. to apply abusive language to a person :-- Ðæt man biddendne þearfan misrǽce to abuse a needy person who begs (is one of the lighter offences), Homl. Th. ii. 590, 25. (the last example there given). mis-ræcan
