According to the Old English Dictionary:

p. ode. I. to have the companionship of a person, to marry :-- Ne hiá mǽnsumiaþ (mǽnsumigaþ, Rush.) ne hiá biþon gemǽnsumad (i. ne ceorl hæfis wífes gemána ne wíf hæfis ceorles) neque nubent neque nubentur, Mk.
