néþan
Add: (l) absolute :-- Him wzs mycel ege tó þon ꝥ hé húru tó swýðe ne nýðde (gedyrstláhte, gif hé þæs ungewunelican þinges tó Gode wilnode he was very much afraid of venturing too far, if he desired that unusual thing of God, Gr. D. 18, 10. (2) with preposition :-- Ic swíðe unmeodum geneahhe néðde tó Dryhtnes líchoman and tó his ðám deórwyrþan blóde I ventured far too frequently to go to the Lord's Supper, Angl. xi. 99, 70.
