p. ode To pound, bray in a mortar :-- Ðeáh ðú portige ðone dysegan on pílan swá mon corn ðéþ mid piilstæfe ne meaht ðú his dysi him from ádrífan si contuderis stultum in pila, quasi ptisanas feriente desuper pilo, non auferetur ab eo stultitia ejus, Past. 37, 2 ; Swt. 265, 25.
