p. te To move impetuously, to rage (of fire) :-- Hé (Nero) wolde fandian, gif ðæt fýr (at the burning of Rome) meahte swá longe reád rásettan, swá hé secgan gehérde, ðæt Troia burg ofertogen hæfde léga leóhtost, Met. 9, 14.
