p. sanc, pl. suncon ; pp. suncen. I. to sink :--Ðá ingon sincan cum coepisset mergi, Mt. Kmbl. Rush. 14, 30. Hwæðer sincende sǽflód wǽre. Cd. Th. 86, 27 ; Gen. 1437. II. to act as an aperient :--Gif ðæt sié ómihte wǽte innan, tyhte hié mon út mid líþum mettum sincendum, and ne lǽt inne gesittan on ðam líchoman, Lchdm. ii. 218, 14. [Goth. siggkwan : O.
