m. A writer about letters or grammar :-- Stæfwríterum grammaticorum, Wrt. Voc. ii. 41, 33: 75, 40. The word glosses historiographus, 42, 45, but perhaps stær- should be read for stæf-: and 18, 67 stæfwríterum glosses caracteribus, which seems an error. stæf-writere
