p. -lǽhte; pp. -lǽht To become bold, to dare, presume :-- Wé þrístlǽcaþ biddan audemus rogare, Hymn. Surt. 111, 34. Hié sint tó manianne ðæt hié nó ðý swíður wið hié ne ðrístlǽcen (ðrisð-, Hatt.
