- p. þwán, pl. þwinon; pp. þwinen To get less, dwindle, be reduced (of a swelling) :-- Beþe ða fét and smyre, ðonne þwínaþ (-eþ, MS.) hý sóna (the swelling goes down), Lchdm. i. 84, 25.
