According to the Old English Dictionary:

tó-fleón
p. -fleáh, . pl. -flugon; pp. -flogen To flee in different directions, be dispersed in flight, flee away: -- Gif wæter on eáran swíðe gesigen sý, genim ðysse ylcan wyrte seáw, drýpe on ðæt eáre; sóna hyt tóflýð (-flíhð, MSS.
