adj. Faint-hearted, diffident :-- Ða unmódigan and ða ungedyrstigan wénaþ ðæt ðæt suíðe forsewenlíc sié ðætte hié dóð and forðon weorðaþ oft ormóde pusillanimes vehementer despecta putant esse, quae faciunt, et ideirco in desperatione franguntur, Past. 32; Swt. 209, 10. un-gedyrstig
