un-módig
adj. I. in a depreciatory sense, without courage, fainthearted, pusillanimous :-- On óðre wísan sint tó manianne ða módgan, on óðre ða unmódgan and ða unðrístan (pusillanimes) ... ða unmódgan and ða ungedyrstigan wénað ðæt ðæt suíðe forsewenlíc sié ðætte hié dóð, and forðon weorðaþ oft ormóde, Past. 32; Swt. 209, 1-12.
