According to the Old English Dictionary:

un-ǽmtig(i)an

to prevent a person being at leisure, to deprive of leisure :-- Ne lyste ðé wífes ðe ðé on nánum þincgum ne ábysige ne ðé ne unǽmtige tó ðínum wyllan do not you desire a wife that may worry you in nothing, and may not prevent you being at leisure to follow your own will, Shrn. 183, 12. un-æmtigian
