adj. Ignorant, uninstructed, unskilled :-- Dysig bið se lǽce and untýd ðe wilnaþ ðæt hé óðerne mon gelácnige, and nát ðæt hé self bið gewundad improbus et imperitus est medicus, qui alienum mederi appetit, et ipse vulnus, quod patitur, nescit, Past. 48; Swt. 371, 6.
