m. A wound on the face :-- Swá hwylc man swá óðrum womwlite on gewyrce, forgylde him ðone womwlite, and his weorc wyrce óð ðæt seó wund hál sig quicunque homo alio vulnus in faciem in-flixerit, emendet ei vulnus, et opus ejus operetur, donec vulnus sanetur, L. Ecg. C. 22 ; Th. ii. 148, 18.
