wícnian
p. ode To perform an office (wíce), to serve, minister :-- Se geatweard, gif hé fultumes behófige, sý him gingra bróðor betǽht, ðe him mid wícnige, R. Ben. 127, 3. Sum æðelboren cild heóld leóht ætforan his mýsan, and ongann módigian ðæt hit on swá wáclícum ðingum him wícnian sceolde, Homl. Th. ii. 170, 25.
