wiþ-gangan
I. to go against:--Ic ne meahte mægnes cræfte gúðe wiðgongan (I could not go and meet the foe in fight), ac ic sceal sécan cempan sǽmran, Exon. Th. 266, 4; Jul. 393. II. to go off, withdraw, fail:--Byð mé eágon wiðgangen defecerunt oculi mei, Ps. Th. 68, 3.
