f : hæcla, an; m [?] A cloak, mantle, upper garment, coal, cassock. Lye gives the following meanings lacerna, subucula, capsula, mantilia, pl :-- Hacele clamis, Ælfc. Gl. 65; Som. 69, 40; Wrt.
