E. 989 would translate 'lóf' hand, comparing Goth. lófa : Icel. lófi (Scott. loof) the palm of the hand. In Hpt, Gl. 525, 8 redimicula is glossed 'wrǽdas oððe cynewiððan, lofas;' would this be the same word as that in the above passage? lof
