n.' Demesne land, that part of a domain which the lord retained in his own hands, in contradistinction to út-land terra tenementalis, signifying land granted out for services; terra dominicalis, pars manerii dominica' :-- Wulfége ðæt inland and ælfége ðæt útland, Chart.
