a coverlet (?). Substitute: hop-scīte (hopp-) a bed-curtain, and add :-- Heó (Judith) nam ꝥ heáfod and his hopscȳtan abstulit conopeum eius (cf. An. Ox. 7, 365 where conopeum, occurring in the story of Judith, is glossed by wáhreft. In the poem of Judith the word is rendered byfleóhnett, Jud. 47), Hml. As. III, 307. hopp-scyte
