n. I. an exalted virtue, one of the three theolological virtues: -- Nú synd ðreó heáhmægnu ðe menn sceolan habban, Fides, Spes, Caritas, Hml. S. 16, 246. II. sublime power, divine might :-- Is þæs wuldres ful heofun and eorðe and eall heáhmægen tíre getácnod, El. 753. Ongit Godes heáhmægen, 464.
