f. Elevation. I. literal :-- Exaltatio sancte crucis, ðæt is on Engliscre sprǽce upáhefednyss ðære hálgan róde, for ðan ðe heó wæs áhafen on ðam dæge, Homl. Skt. ii. 27, 140.
