p. -slóh, pl. -slógon; pp. -slegen, -slægen, -slagen [sleán to strike] To strike with violence, smite, break, slay, kill, destroy; vehementer fĕrīre, percŭtĕre, frangĕre, occīdĕre, interfĭcĕre :-- Se ðe cinbán forslæhþ mid xx scillingum forgelde let him who breaks the chin-bone pay for it with twenty shillings, L.
