p. -sáh, pl. -sigon; pp. -sigen [sígan to sink] To sink, fall, set as the sun; cadere, labi, occĭdĕre ut sol :-- Ǽr heó [sunne] fullíce gesígan onginne before it [the sun] begin fully to sink, Herb. 19, 5; Lchdm. i. 112, 21.
