p. ede (cf. myne, II) To have as the object of desire or purpose, to intend, direct one's course to an object :-- Ðǽr mín hyht myneþ tó gesécenne my heart's desire is to visit there, Exon. 48 b; Th. 167, 17; Gú. 1601 : Andr. Kmbl. 583; An. 294. Ic lǽre ǽlcne ðara ðe maga sí and manigne wǽn hæbbe ðæt hé menige tó ðam ilcan wuda I advise every one that is able and has many a waggon, to direct his steps to that same wood.
