Ðá métte hine his eald-gefána sum, and hine ofstang then one of his old foes met him, and stabbed [killed] him, Ors. 3, 7; Bos. 62, 22. To bismere his gefán [MS. gefaan = gefáu = gefáum = gefáhum] in mockery to his foes, Homl. Th. i. 226, 28.
