Ðeós wyrt, ðe man dracontea and óðrum naman dracentse nemneþ, ys sǽd ðæt heó of dracan blóde acenned beón sceolde this herb, which is named dracontea, and by another name dragons, is said to be produced from dragon's blood, Herb. 15, 1; Lchdm. i. 106, 22.
