Plotting against the life of a king or lord :-- Búton æt hláfordsearwe ðam hie náne mildheortnesse ne dorston gecwæðan except in cases of treason against a lord; to that they dared not assign any mercy, L. Alf. 49; Th. i. 58, 9. Be hláfordsearwe. Gif hwá ymb cyninges feorh sierwie, síe hé his feores scyldig and ealles ðæs ðe hé áge of plotting against a lord.
