adj. Humble, lowly, obedient; hŭmĭlis, obēdiens :-- Gif ðú eáþmódne eorl geméte if thou meet a lowly person, Exon. 84 b; Th. 318, 5; Mód. 78. He eáþmóde him eorlas funde he found men obedient to him, Menol. Fox 195; Men. 99. His ætgiefan eáþmód weorþeþ he becomes obedient to his feeder, Exon. 88 b; Th. 332, 27; Vy. 91.
