[fleótan to float] What floats on the surface, hence, -- Cream, skimming, curds; flos lactis, lactis crĕmor exemptus, coagŭlum :-- Genim cúmeoluc bútan wætere, lǽt weorþan to flétum, geþwer to buteran take cow's milk without water, let it become cream, churn it to butter, L.
