adj. In hills and hollows [applied to the sea in reference to the deep depressions between high waves; cf. Scot. hope a sloping hollow between two hills, or the hollow that is formed between two ridges on one hill] :-- Com ic on sǽs hricg ðǽr mé sealt wæter hreóh and hópig holme besencte veni in allitudinem maris; et tempestas demersit me, Ps.
