adv. I. awry, askew, in reversed order :-- Þwyrlíce færð æt ðam húse ðær seó wyln bið ðære hlǽfdian wissigend and seó hlæfdige bið ðære wylne underðeódd, Homl. Skt. i. 17, 10.
