- n. Some kind of boat. The Latin words which it translates are littoraria and tonsilla; the ordinary meaning of the latter is, a sharp-pointed pole stuck in the ground to fasten vessels to the shore, so perhaps trogscip means a boat fastened to the shore, to which another was moored :-- Trohscip litioraria vel tonsilla, Wrt.
