Take here ge-byrhtan and ge-brihtan in Dict. , and add : I. to make bright :-- -Geberhtes clarificabit, Jn. L. 16, 14. II. to become bright, to shine :-- Ic áhyrde míne sunnan, and heó gebyrhteð ; þonne forbærned heó ealle þíne æceras, Wlfst. 260, 8. [Goth. ga-bairhtjan.] Cf. Beorhtian. ge-birhtan
