According to the Old English Dictionary:

ge-méde
Add: (1) of persons :-- Hí óðer twéga oððe wíf habbað him gemæc, oððe him geméde nabbað, Bt. II l ; S. 24, 9. (2) of things, that satisfies requirements, adequate, suitable :-- Heó hit Ósulfe on ǽht gesealde wið gemédan feó (the land was sold for a fair price, or (?) a price that had been agreed on), Che. Th. 170, 21. [Rtl. 50, 6 might be taken under previous word.] ge-mede
