According to the Old English Dictionary:

ge-þancol

Add: (1) mindful :-- Hé þurh þæs gehátes myngunge swíþe geþancol on anginne his ríces began þá stówe tó fyrþrienne, eal swá hé ǽr behét on his cildgeogoðe. Lch. iii. 438, 8.
