Add: to reach (N. E. D. s. v.). I. intrans.:--Hr&e-long-hook;ceo excreo, An. Ox. 53, 40. Wiþ þæs magan springe, þonne þurh múð bitere hrǽcð oþþe bealcet, oððe him on þám magan súgeð, Lch. ii. 192, 3. Þám men þe . . . on magan untrum sié oþþe bitere hrǽce, 62, 16. Gif heora ǽnegum for unhǽle hráca of breóste derige, hrǽce bæftan him (post dorsum flegma proiciat), and þæt fortrede, Chrd. 23, 8.
