According to the Old English Dictionary:

réðe-mód
adj. I. in a bad sense, of fierce or savage mind :-- Cwǽdon ðæt heó (the rebellious angels) ríce réðemóde ágan wolde, Cd. Th. 4, 2; Gen. 47. Ábrecan ne meahton réðemóde (the people of Sodom who were trying to break into Lot's house) reced æfter gistum, 150, 15; Gen. 2492.
