m. A player on a trumpet, an actor, buffoon :-- Trúð liticen, Ælfc. Gr. 9, 12; Zup. 40, 7: Wrt. Voc. i. 73, 66 (the word occurs in a list of terms connected with amusements). Com sum trúð tó ðæs bisceopes híréde, se ne gýmde nánes lenctenes fæstenes, ac eode him tó kicenan, Homl. Skt. i. 12, 59.
